How To Copy A Color Code

In this article, you'll learn the easy step-by-step process of copying a color code on ClickDesigns.

STEP 1:

After you've logged into your ClickDesigns account and are on your dashboard, we're going to need to launch the ClickDesigns Editor. To do this, click on "Templates" if you want to start from scratch or utilize a pre-made design. You can also click on "My Designs" if you already have an existing graphic.

In this case, let's try working on a pre-made design. Click on "Templates" and feel free to choose from any of the diverse categories that ClickDesigns has to offer.

When you come across a template you want to work with, simply hover over it and click on the "Edit" icon.

STEP 2:

For this tutorial, I decided to work with a book cover. Clicking on the "Edit" icon will then bring you to the ClickDesigns Editor.

For this template, let's try adding an additional shape to add behind the text. To do this, click on the "Shapes" category of the editor. You can browse through the different variations of shapes for your design.

When you find an element you like, simply select it and it'll automatically upload to your canvas.

Feel free to adjust and edit said element to your liking.

STEP 3:

Now, I want to color the shape using the same pink shade on the bird illustration of the template.

To copy the exact color code of this shade, all you need to do is click on the "Dropper" icon on the top part of the Editor.

Once selected, the dropper icon will allow you to hover over any shade or color on your template, and will automatically copy the color code of the selected shade for you. This should have a small pop-up on the side labeled "Copied!"

STEP 4:

Now, let's go back to our shape. Once you have the color code copied with the help of the "Dropper" icon, select the element that you want to apply that color to. Under the settings of said element, the "Color" section will allow you to see the current color code the element is under.

To change the color code, all you have to do is click on this section and paste the new color code you had just copied.

This is going to automatically recolor your element, and now, our shape is the exact same color as that of the bird illustration.

And Voila! That's how easy it is to seamlessly copy and paste any color code on ClickDesigns.
