How To Get Started With Devices

In this article, you'll learn the basics of creating Devices with ClickDesigns.

STEP 1:

After you've logged into your ClickDesigns account and are on your dashboard, click on the "Templates" section at the top of your navigation bar.

From the "Templates" section, choose the "Devices" category.

The Devices section includes different sub-categories of templates for you to choose from and work with. The following Devices categories include Monitors, Laptops, Tablets, Phones, Watches, and Scenes.

Since this is going to get you started with ClickDesigns Devices, let's try making a Device sample for each category.

STEP 2:

For Monitors, under the "Monitors" tab, you can either "Start From Scratch," or feel free to scroll through the given templates. For this tutorial, let's do the latter. Simply hover over a template you want to work with and click on the "Edit" icon.

Once the ClickDesigns Editor is opened up, feel free to play around with the different features to customize the Device to your liking. For this template, let's try changing the graphic and replacing it with an icon. To do this, you can click on the "Icon" section and enter what you need on the search bar.

Next, let's try changing the template's font. To do this, click on the given body of text to open the "Text Settings" section. Here, you can customize any and all aspects of your ideal font design.

Lastly, let's edit the background of the Custom Graphic. On the "Background" section, we can choose the "Gradient" section to turn the background into a gradient.

When finished with your edits, click "Save & Exit."

Here, you can preview your current Monitor Mockup.


Click on "Save" to finalize your edits. Clicking on "Exit" will bring you back to your ClickDesigns dashboard (with your Device still saved!) and clicking on "Export" will export your Monitor to your local drive.

STEP 3:

For Laptops, under the "Laptops" tab, you can either "Start From Scratch," or feel free to scroll through the given templates. For this tutorial, let's do the latter. Simply hover over a template you want to work with and click on the "Edit" icon.

Once the ClickDesigns Editor is opened up, feel free to play around with the different features to customize the Device to your liking. For this template, let's try changing the graphic and replacing it with an icon. To do this, you can click on the "Icon" section and enter what you need on the search bar.
