How To Get Started With Boxshots

In this article, you'll learn how to seamlessly make use of the Boxshot Templates on ClickDesigns.

STEP 1:

After you've logged into your ClickDesigns account and are on your dashboard, head on over to the "Templates" section from the navigation bar.

This is going to allow you to view different categories of different graphic templates. From here, choose the "Boxshots" category.

You can view an array of different boxshot templates to choose from. For this tutorial, though, we're going to choose "Start From Scratch."

Here, you can choose different blank boxshot templates from different angles. Feel free to choose one and click on "Use Template."

STEP 2:

This is going to open the ClickDesigns Editor. Depending on the template you chose, you have the option to choose which side to edit on first. Click on the side you want to start with and choose "Create."

From here, you can begin working on your boxshot design. Let's start with our background. On the "Background" tab, let's make a gradient by clicking on the "Gradient" tab and "Radial Gradient." You can adjust the scale, intensity, and types of colors for your gradient background.

Next, let's try adding a graphic to our design. For this tutorial, we went to the "Illustrations" tab and used the search bar to search for a specific illustration.

Now that we've added our main graphic, let's proceed with adding text to our design. Simply select the "Text" tab and click on the button that reads "Add New Text Layer." From here, you can customize the font, its color, and its position all under the text settings within the same tab.

Once all the adjustments to the text are made, let's try adding more graphics to make our design stand out. This time, on the "Shapes" tab, click on "Doodles" and feel free to add as much as you can to upgrade your design visually.

STEP 3:

Once you're finally finished with the first image of the boxshot, make sure to click on the "Save & Exit" button.

Now, let's work on the other side of the boxshot. Click on that section and choose "Create."

Let's start by working on the background of this boxshot side. Clicking on the "Background" tab again, choose "Gradient" and then "Radial Gradient." You can adjust the scale, intensity, and types of colors for your gradient background.

You can design your boxshot in any way you see fit. Let's try adding a logo to this side, as well as a small graphic to finish it off.

Again, when finished, make sure to click the "Save & Exit" button to save the changes to your boxshot.

After, click on "Save" once you are sure of your edits.

After this, you can go back to your ClickDesigns dashboard where your boxshot is finally saved. You can always go back and edit it again if you would like to make any more last-minute changes.
